Opening for Scientists Position

The Department of Biotechnology urgently requires the services of suitable officers for filling up four posts of Scientists on absorption or deputation basis from the officers of the Central Government, State Governments, Universities, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Organisations or Institutions, who fulfill the requisite qualifications as mentioned below: 

Sl. No.1 (Absorption) 

(a) Name of the Post: Scientist ‘C’ 

(b) Scale of Pay: PB-3 ` 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay: ` 6600/- 

(c) No. of vacancies: 2 

(d) Qualifications :(i). Ph.D. in any Life Sciences discipline or MD or M.Tech in engineering programme relevant to Biotechnology. 

(ii) Holding an analogous post on regular basis and 

(iii) Minimum five years experience in responsible positions of work in R&D, Management and Administration with a broad perspective of the potential of Biotechnology. 

Sl.No.2 (Deputation – National Biotechnology Development Board) 

(a) Name of the Post: Scientist ‘C’ 

(b) Scale of Pay: PB-3 ` 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay: ` 6600/- 

(c) No. of vacancies: 1 

(e) Qualifications: (i) Ph.D. in any Life Sciences discipline or MD or M.Tech in engineering programme relevant to Biotechnology. 

(ii) Holding an analogous post on regular basis or 

(iii) With five years regular service in posts of pay of PB-3: Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade pay Rs.5400/-.having experience in responsible positions of work in R&D, Management and Administration with a broad perspective of the potential of Biotechnology.
